It's Bank Holiday weekend and although my newsfeed has been packed full of people going out and getting wasted, I've not touched a single drop of alcohol π My weekend has been spent with the two most important people in my life instead; my Ilysha & my Charlie. I used to get wasted all the time simply to fill a void in my life; that void has been gone for a long time now... π So I'm lay in bed reading, and it's going to be an early night ready for my little Princess being dropped off first thing in the morning for an extra day with her in my presence π Enjoy the rest of the night π

The bus to take Ily home rocked up 15 minutes late. On arriving at the stop I get off at, I asked the driver optimistically: "Are you still waiting 8 minutes like usual before heading back?" This is because I get off the stop before the last one, and I usually have an 8 minute window to run Ilysha up to her Mums, and get back to the bus stop opposite where I get off to catch the same bus back. "No, I'm going straight away" he responded dismissively. "So I have to wait over another hour to go home just because you came late then?" I queried. "Guess so" was his cold reply. Well fuck that guy!! I dropped Ilysha off and flat out sprinted as fast as I could for like 5 minutes (which admittedly isn't all that fast these days) a different way around the estate that bypassed half the bus route. I flew around the corner as the bus pulled off from a bus stop, and walked up the middle of the road towards him. The driver just looked at me in a mixture of disbelief and seemingly mild annoyance. I signaled for him to open the doors and stood in front of the bus until he did, then walked on, sat down and just stared at him for pretty much the entire return journey whilst he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. The prick.

The very best written article I've seen yet that explains why we should ALL be voting to LEAVE the EU. If you plan on voting to stay in the EU this referendum, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read this before you do!!

You know when people get married, and it's custom that the groom carries the bride across the threshold or whatever it's called, well yeah, that would never happen with me... I struggle to carry my daughter to bed at night when she passes out on the sofa, nevermind an adult! Unless I marry a hobbit or something. That could work.

This is heavy.
Between this and the remake of my favourite ever game, Final Fantasy VII, I do believe the purchasing of a PS4 will be very justified soon.

I actually feel sorry for Infinity Ward with the latest release of Call of Duty... watching the trailer for Infinite Warfare, as I add another thumbs down to the already existing tally of over 1,355,500 dislikes... and I can only imagine how disappointed they are that their latest decision to continue moving away from the classical direction of military warfare that their fanbase have come to expect yields further backlash, confirming they have become so disenfranchised with their target market... Meanwhile EA deliver beautifully with Battlefield 1... this looks too sick!!
Finally got around to having a crack at this and quite happy with the stats of my first run π

I'm a non-conformist, introverted, overweight, vegan, pagan, feminist, akoisexual, who identifies as ekragender. Don't trigger me.
This is quite simply propaganda, ugh. The original story for this was from Sunday 6th September 2015. The ship Haddad 1 was registered to Bolivia, and departed from Iskenderun in Turkey, destined for Misrata in Libya. The Turkish government stated the weapons were destined for the Sudanese police force and were fully documented. Greek coast guards intercepted the vessel 20 nautical miles from Crete. I really wish people would educate themselves before trying to "educate" the rest of social media. Fear mongering at it's finest.
My patience for ignorance has reached it's end. My tolerance for the blind leading the blind has reached critical mass. When it comes to the EU referendum, BREXIT, we need to vote OUT. If you do not vote out, then DO NOT BOTHER VOTING EVER AGAIN unless it's another vote to LEAVE THE EU. If you do not understand anything about politics, grasp this simple fact; as a member of the EU, our Government do not control the country. Your votes, your opinions, the very systems, laws and procedures that control your daily life... the policies we vote for, the concerns we raise... none of it is decided by you, or influenced by which ever public face is voted onto the stage to parade on behalf of the country. UK is OVERRULED by EU. In fact, in Brussels', our input on EU legislation is ignored. Look it up - UK is the MOST IGNORED country in the EU. We literally cannot even influence the very decisions that directly affect our country. Immigration - the EU decide what quota we have to accept; our economy suffers as the welfare state cannot support the influx of migrants. What happens? Our education, healthcare, pensions etc all suffer. WE all suffer. Military - the EU decide where we deploy and which targets we engage. Our soldiers can be forced to go to fight wars on behalf of any country in the EU. If the majority in EU vote it, they can enforce mandatory conscription. TTIP - I firmly believe this will be passed. This is THE most damaging thing that could happen for the UK if we are part of the EU. If EU agree to TTIP (remember, our vote doesn't count) - then we could literally see our entire economy and industries ravaged by America. Big US companies can buy our public services, buy our utilities and do whatever they want. They can privatise healthcare, they can increase the price of lifesaving drugs by 500% overnight - think it's all theoretical? Look up Daraprim prices - the drug used to treat AIDS and Cancer that was increased from $13 per pill to $750 per pill overnight! Big Pharma (the top 10 American Pharmaceutical companies make more profit that the other 490 companies in Fortune 500 combined!!) Open your eyes! They are manipulating votes for staying in through fear! We will still be able to go to the EU, still be protected by NATO etc, we will not suffer some great loss! We need to leave! IF IN DOUBT, VOTE US OUT!
What a top bloke we have representing our country...
I hate both the sound of the shell crunching beneath my ignorant foot and the irrational emotional concern that a poor baby snail just lost their parent due to my oversight... ...but these bastards are testing me lately! Swear I need to enforce VISA's and border control on my garden!

Input please from parents who are educated on such matters! I received a lovely surprise yesterday, as you can see nursery photos of Ilysha, but after being ambiguously asked for "a financial contribution since they were expensive", I have no idea what to offer. I asked what was paid and was told "enough" but no actual price. I would appreciate any indication of what the usual cost is please! Thanks! π

So the Government are supposed to represent us, the people who vote them into power, right? How does representing us include Project Fear and the Government spending £9,000,000 of UK taxpayers money on a leaflet campaign that pretty much strives to scare voters into doing what the Government want? Latest polls on Brexit show heavy favour in the corner of leaving the EU; but fuck how you feel about it, the Government want to stay in so they're spending the tax money that you are forced to pay, to send shit biased leaflets back to you in an attempt to change your mind. Us: "We want out the EU." Government: "Well we'll take money off you in the form of taxes, use it to print propaganda, and send it back to you to change your minds because fuck your opinion, it benefits the big corporations and corrupt politicians to stay in, so that's what should matter." Fuck the Government, fuck the EU, and fuck this bullshit leaflet.

I'm half asleep, so forgive my potential oversights etc. On first quick read into this, basically 20 males on a "Council of Islamic Ideology" (which sounds like a department of Hogwarts or something) advise the Pakistani Government, and they've recently said there should be a law saying the blokes should be legally allowed to "lightly beat" their wives for "xyz" reasons?
1) This is 2016 and the age of equality. How you could ever pass a law saying blokes can hit women is nuts. And because of that, in my half asleep state I feel like I'm being trolled. Half expected the link to want to tell me how it's feeling and never give me up or let me down tbh.
2) Even if this is legit; define "lightly"... one guys idea of lightly may be not even leaving a mark... anothers may be only blacking an eye (which if the females wear hijabs nobody would know)... some lunatics may be breaking an arm. It's such an ambiguous term.
3) FFS it says a women should be beaten if she "speaks to strangers or loud enough for a stranger to hear them". Wut? So how is a young female allowed an education? Every classmate and teacher would be a stranger? How can they ever have a job? Every colleague and manager would be a stranger? How can they pretty much do anything? It's ridiculous. Basically it's a document that legally permits a bloke to treat a female like shit, and that is not okay. If this is legit... what even.

I sincerely hope all of my generation make their votes count in the EU referendum and get us OUT of the EU. In the UK the older generation are the majority of the one's who bother to vote, and their opinion is biased due to their restricted access to the FACTS rather than the bullshit propaganda printed in newspapers and recited on the news. "British democracy is obviously a shambles when the least informed demographics (who source all of their political information from the television and the mainstream press) are by far the most likely to vote, while the generations that are much more likely to have access to alternative sources of political information are the least likely to vote. The only glimmer of hope is that the younger generations get over their apathy and actually begin voting against the purveyors of ideological austerity who attack their generation in order to protect the interests of the generations that do bother to vote."

Me and Ilysha... or Jake and Finn as she keeps calling us. The most difficult part is, every time I call her Finn she goes nuts and tells me she is Ilysha. If I call her Ilysha, she goes mental and tells me she is Finn. Jake can't win. Or Dad can't win. Or Jake? I don't know anymore. Who even am I!? π
