Woke up about 8am. My body is still working on a 2hr time difference and likely thought it was 10am. Whilst Lysh was asleep I've been the shop to get some bits & pieces in that we needed (and some Cinnamon Bun Flipz of course!). In the garage, some rough looking cunt with an empty carrier bag came in looking like he was on the wrong side of a hangover - he grabbed two blocks of Cathdral City and a pack of sausages... then as I walked toward the till, I saw him just walk off out the door and down Smallthorne Bank with whatever he'd shoved in his bag 🙃😂 aaand just like that, we're back to reality I guess! 🫡

Group of college kids standing vaping on the garage forecourt blocking the petrol pumps. A staff member stuck her head out the door and asked them to move out the way of the pumps. One of the kids quipped "shut up, you work for ASDA" as though it were a really clever retort. Bruh. Your Mum probably still washes your clothes and gives you dinner money... plus you're about to get ran over for standing in the middle of a petrol station vaping and chatting, rather than somewhere more sensible. Guess common sense skipped these lot... 🙃

Just got home from visiting my Dad who gave me a scare whilst I was on holiday by being admitted to hospital with crackling in his chest and really low oxygen saturation! 💀 Grateful he's still here and hopefully making some positive lifestyle changes to keep it that way! 🚭 Ended up trying to fix their TV because the Samsung TV Plus App has stopped working for no apparent reason! 📺

Got home from work and sorted out the rest of my Take Daily's from Antalya 🏖 had some tea whilst watching some YouTube, then went down Forresters with Pete for a catch up over a few jars 🍻 back home and ate an entire share bag of Walkers Max Strong Jalapeno & Cheese because they are like crack 🤤

Idk. Perhaps? Thinking I fancy going Rage for a bit of something different 😂🪓

Got an Uber to Fez. App says like £6, so I book it. We get there, suddenly Uber take £12 out my bank. I'm like WTF, so I check the app. "Additional fees charged for delays"; the delays were heavy traffic at Cobridge lights. Fuck off am I paying double the fare because the driver got stuck at a busy junction! Jokers! Then see that the driver has claimed the journey ended about 10-minutes after he'd dropped us off! Give me my refund! 😡

Went to go Poundland on Fez, but turns out there isn't one now? 😂 So we went B&M instead to get cheap cinema munch 🥳 nipped Maccies and it was rammo 😂 Scranned our food then hauled ass to Odeon 🍟🏃🏼➡️ Coraline in 3D was really good - amusingly the only people in the viewing were all in the Premier seats aside from 2 people 📽️ I ate way too much popcorn and drank too much Prime, and came out feeling bloated! 🍿 back home playing Minecraft: Raft Survival again (with Bug) 🎮😁

After a relaxing morning in quiet solitude, my action packed afternoon of celebrations began 🥳 shortly after he arrived, me & Charlie caught a taxi up to Mellards in Newcastle and I kicked off proceedings with a 6.4% Black Forest Gateau sour! 🤣🍰🍺 surprisingly they served Char with a 0% Grapefruit Sour Lager which was unexpected since usually they would say even 0% lager is 18+ only 😕🤷🏼♂️ Moz joined us just in time to undertake a quick PoGo Raid at the bus station before we headed around to Rage for some activities! 🤳🏼

After getting a round of drinks in, we commenced with the Axe Throwing 🪓🎯 what an unmitigated disaster it was to start with 😂 many of us could barely even stick the landing! But then as time went on and we began to hone our techniques, a few of us began to get the knack for it and began consistently landing throws 🦾 Char even managed stick a blind trickshot by throwing the axe whilst facing away from the target and managing to hit the frame & get it to stick! 🪓 that was after he'd broken one of the targets by knocking a load of the wood stacks out whilst retrieving his axe! 😂

Following swiftly on, we headed up to play some Airsoft together 🔫🎯 they set us off first with a group of four (Me, Char, Moz, and Jord) with the intention of the others going after we'd finished 🤨 after we'd played a few rounds however I went and requested the staff provide us with the magazines for all players 🙌🏼 then we could swap in-and-out as we liked which meant we could all play interchangeably with each other as we wished 😁 We didn't really track performance or play proper competitively preferring to just have fun with it - which I certainly did! 🥰😁

Entertaining night at the pub quiz this week. Absalom and Achitophel. Be accused of colluding in secret conversations over my birthday weekend in respect of this years proposed family Secret Santa. Justifiably annoyed, I refute the allegations. Instead of an apology however, they double down on their incorrect assertions. It doesn't matter that they are wrong - they are seemingly above reproach and are allowed to make accusations that paint others in a bad light without accountability. I am then told to my face that I am two-faced, sly (along with the whole family in general), and that I chat shit about people all the time. Excuse you? No apology is forthcoming for these insults and I am expected to just sit there and have my character sullied with impunity in the middle of the pub. Understandably, arguments later ensue with raised voices and expressed frustration - and pens being pointed aggressively. Admittedly I let myself get riled up more than I'd have liked, but in my defence, I was only matching the energy directed at me. And yet despite the preamble that led up to this, somehow by the end of the night, I am the villain and they are the victim? Because I'd refused to sit back and be insulted to my face and repeatedly spoken to like some sort of dickhead? The cherry on the cake being the use of the loaded phrase: "he just attacked me!" whilst cowering, when all I'd done was stand up for myself, albeit angrily. Entertaining night at the pub quiz this week. Absalom and Achitophel. Be accused of colluding in secret conversations over my birthday weekend in respect of this years proposed family Secret Santa. Justifiably annoyed, I refute the allegations. Instead of an apology however, they double down on their incorrect assertions. It doesn't matter that they are wrong - they are seemingly above reproach and are allowed to make accusations that paint others in a bad light without accountability. I am then told to my face that I am two-faced, sly (along with the whole family in general), and that I chat shit about people all the time. Excuse you? No apology is forthcoming for these insults and I am expected to just sit there and have my character sullied with impunity in the middle of the pub. Understandably, arguments later ensue with raised voices and expressed frustration - and pens being pointed aggressively. Admittedly I let myself get riled up more than I'd have liked, but in my defence, I was only matching the energy directed at me. And yet despite the preamble that led up to this, somehow by the end of the night, I am the villain and they are the victim? Because I'd refused to sit back and be insulted to my face and repeatedly spoken to like some sort of dickhead? The cherry on the cake being the use of the loaded phrase: "he just attacked me!" whilst cowering, when all I'd done was stand up for myself, albeit angrily. What a day, pfftt! Backup fell over again due to a drive failure; managed to remedy for now & get a working job! 💻 Phone lines faulting, again! Suspecting it's BT's AudioCodes demarcation for QoS SLA's tripping for some unidentified reason! 🙄 And I've managed to somehow snatch the VR back from the jaws of defeat, but the data replication is painfully slow and I'm on pins expecting it to permanently die imminently! 🎧 Nice to not have to do any work on the fucking Audit today though, that's beyond welcome!

Lazy day with Bug, she had been trying convince me to rush out today and buy ingredients then spend all afternoon baking but agreed to defer it until another weekend because it's pissing down & I've spent enough money this weekend already! 🥱💀 we've binged Little Lunch together again and been sorting out all her accounts, mainly inspired by her locking herself out of her online banking 😂🙃 Stay popped around to drop off my birthday card 🎂 we had a natter about Iceland plans and firmed up a few details 🧊 then I've also spoke to Moz about his Iceland experience to get some additional inside knowledge 🤓 done some washloads and dishes 🧺🫧 and finally got around to bulk uploading holiday photos on FB (after Lysh had signed off on them 😂) 💻

Someone randomly passes me a rusty combination padlock that's securing an old Siemens flip phone 🔒 I look at it closely and can see that it says 2010 on it. I instinctively try to input a code and guess it correctly. I then start looking through the phone and despite not being the same model as I had at the time, it contains all my stuff from that time period of my life including old messages, voicenotes and photos! 😵 baffling that my brain just decided to regurgitate and dump a load of past memories into my present! 🧠

Just lately, time is fucking flying fr fr ✈️ Work has flown by with all the ongoing drama. Nipped the Potteries and failed miserably to solo a Dynamax Beldum ❌ Got home whilst having a nice lengthy chat with my Mum 📱 had some lentil bolognese with some wedges, whilst watching this super wholesome first Minecraft playthrough series by Lets Play Easy Mode on YouTube 📺 had a nice rare 45-minute facetime call with Bug who wanted to speak with me about Trilogy Tour on Friday 😂🎶 had no idea about all this Ren/KUJO drama, but after watching some reactions & seeing Ren's lengthy explanation, the whole situation seems like a massive nonsense on Kujo/BeatStars side. What kind of platform would allow producers to sell beats for profit, without any controls for ensuring the producers have cleared samples? Makes no sense. Trilogy Tour was amazing! We arrived at the venue at like 18:47, managed buy merch (tote bag, shirt, & socks for £85), and get inside the venue effortlessly! Nipped the loo, found our seats, and were sat watching Sofia Isella by 19:11! 😂🎙️ in an ideal world, we'd have been seated a little closer to the stage with a better view, but given the size of the venue & how late we bought tickets, can't really complain! 🎟️ After the opening set from Sofia, we popped out and grabbed drinks (£8.50 for a pint of Madri 😭🍺), then the second opening act came on, Elita. Lysh had said originally that she didn't care about watching her, because she has an OnlyFans 😂 but then once she was on, Lysh conceded she was enjoying the music 💁🏼♂️🎙️ around 20:30, to a screaming chorus of impatient and excitable fans, Melanie took to the stage and played an impressive set consisting of songs from her three studio albums: Cry Baby, K12, and PORTALS. The set pieces were fantastic including a fusion of smoke, lasers and pyrotechnics. The atmosphere was intoxicating. The sense of community and being a part of collective was felt throughout, especially during Light Shower where the majority of the crowd held up the phone torches and illumniated the room in a bath of light! Lysh was ecstatic when High School Sweethearts was played (as she was worried it wouldn't feature on the setlist) and I was equally happy to hear Evil live again. Admittedly we both sang our hearts out to almost the entire set. Amazing night and super glad that Lysh felt the same! WTF is that about? Told her we'll have to try sort it next weekend because I aren't rushing up there with no guarantees we can even sort it.

In another classic Lysh moment, she announces she needs her beige dress to take back her Mum's today as she wants wear it tonight for a party... it's currently in the washing basket but is non-tumble 😂 guess I'm sticking the heating on and trying to speed dry it on the radiator once it's washed! Ffs! Lysh then spent an hour or so practicing her clown makeup for Halloween as she's decided she wants to go as a female Pennywise 🤡🎈 Whilst she was doing that, I got some laundry and dishes done. I nipped round the garage for ingredients, then we spent an hour making some non-bake Oreo Cookie Dough together 🍪 then Sammie popped around to visit us for a couple hours with Tommy - he does not like sitting still unless he's eating, that's for sure! Loves been flown around in the air though, or bounced on your knee 👩🏼🍼 Lysh burned her bagels so I had to eat them whilst she toasted fresh ones 🥯🤦🏼♂️ Then both Lysh and Sammie shot off at around 18:00ish whilst I chaperoned them with an umbrella from these damn thunderstorms! ⛈️☔

Since Charlie has made plans with friends and resultantly won't be visiting today, I've been sorting through my PC trying to salvage some disk space since my 2TB SSD had only 26GB of free space remaining 😬 been sorting through my old audios, which much like clearing out physical old boxes of clutter, descended into basically me just listening to loads of old music like "wow, forgot all about this!" 😂 so, basically, after 2hrs, I've freed up about 20GB of memory which is fuck all in the grand scheme of things ffs lol 🤦🏼♂️

Spent 8-minutes going through increasingly tedious automated menus where it keeps asking questions I don't have the answers to, or telling me to login to the app when part of the issue is, I can't get into the app. Eventually it gets the hint and advises it will transfer me through to a human. Spent 8-minutes going through increasingly tedious automated menus where it keeps asking questions I don't have the answers to, or telling me to login to the app when part of the issue is, I can't get into the app. Eventually it gets the hint and advises it will transfer me through to a human. "The wait time to speak to an advisor is currently 55-minutes." Fuck my life. Fine, I'll walk up to the branch in person and speak to a human, fuck me sideways. What a load of malarky.

Microsoft employ a right bunch of mongs who need to STOP FUCKING WITH THE OS! 🤬😂

Measured up Lysh's bedroom to check if it can realistically accommodate a king size bed. The answer is yes, but with caveats. It's too wide to align with the chimney breast. It's too long to go against two of the four walls due to the radiator/window/doorway. So yes, it will fit, but the room layout will be a bit dicey as a result! 🛌🏼🤪

Popped up Barclays on lunch to see what the crack is with resetting Lysh's bank account login. On the way back work, there was a woman sat in a car with it's hazard lights on, stopped by the multi-storey carpark exit. As I'm walking down, I hear a god awful screeching, look back and see her attempting to drive the car. The back driver side wheel is totally seized and isn't turning whatsoever, and plumes of smoke are billowing out as the rubber tyre is dragged mercilessly across the tarmac! 🤯😬

Tesco has taken so long tonight. Jeez. Finished work at half-5. Spoke with my Mum until 18:00. Went in Tesco... came back out at 19:45... bruh. Taxi got me back home for like 20:10. And it's been mainly because Lysh has asked for loads of stuff I don't typically buy so I have no clue where it is... so I've just been wandering aimlessly around aisles looking for random shit! 😂

Bought a bottle of Buffalo Hot Sauce Truffalo from Sauce Shop and hated it that much, I've washed the entire bottle down the sink! Fucking grim! The ingredients list truffle, which I thought was supposedly some exotic ground tuber fungus that pigs love, and it's like dumb expensive and rare? Proper vile. Fuck it rate off! 🍄🌶️

Been the bank to sort this debit card. What a nonsense. After a quick DPA check etc, they said they'll post a new PIN to Lysh's address. I asked why they couldn't have just sent that without us having to come into branch - apparently it's an added security measure they have to do it when you can't access the app... 🙄 make it make sense! We popped Maccies for a Banana Milkshake, but ended up getting some fries and a McFlurry too 🍟 then we spent a couple hours window shopping in HMV and Primark. Frustratingly, I am really hitting that slump with Mass Effect 😫 I want to push through it and get into the sequels, because this series is overwhelmingly heralded as being bang on... but whenever I get the chance to sit down and game, I find myself defaulting to Minecraft, or just not bothering because I simply am not enthused to play it 😟 I don't want to DNF it, because I really do want to like it... but for now, I think I may just start something new and leave it to one side with the genuine intention of coming back to it at a later date 🎮
