An overview of opinions and observations for the month.

Been quite a few places lately & this is my observation. most companies don't give a fuck about Covid Secure Guidelines. No/minimal PPE, nobody enforcing one way systems, no social distancing, no enforcement of masks, sanitiser, and no real enforcement of anything else Covid related. Just signs and an illusion of caring. It's like business as usual, except some extra Covid related signage about the Covid Secure guidelines so they can stay trading. It's brilliant ππ

Remember when the goal was "flatten the curve to protect the NHS"? When did it become "lockdown must remain until Covid is entirely eradicated"?

Kiddo has gone back home after a brilliant week together. May as well come park up here, bored already. It's crazy how fast you miss them when they're gone ❤️ xo

Yay, mandatory Covid testing has arrived. Public Health Officers can even remove children under the age of 18 from a school and keep them detained in quarantine for up to 48hrs at a testing facility if they believe the child may be potentially infectious with Covid-19. If you refuse to comply or obstruct them from testing you, then you can fined up to £1,000. Mandatory vaccines incoming.

Remember, you must wear a mask to prevent a second wave π₯΄

News was reporting a massive heatwave all weekend with lots of sunshine. Look outside, there isn't any. Kinda like the news reporting an incoming second wave of Covid π

"A review of how deaths from coronavirus are counted in England has reduced the UK death toll by more than 5,000, to 41,329, the government has announced. Previously, people in England who died at any point following a positive test, regardless of cause, were counted in the figures." The death toll has been revised down by around 12% overall; and as high as 75% for July & August, because the virus is pretty much gone now.

Is there anything more satisfying than being able to fit into clothes you haven't worn in years? Currently wearing my primary school uniform, madness.

Financial responsibility is a cornerstone of being a functional adult. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. I'll never understand people who get themselves into debt or financial difficulty on superficial purchases or overpriced brands just for the clout.

Ordered a Maccies on Uber Eats, and when it came there was no ketchup dip for the Happy Meal, and Lysh turns to me & says "it's not a Happy Meal without the Happy Ketchup" and legit starts crying about it π₯΄ proper "thanks Maccies, kids crying now" moment π (I have ketchup in but she says "it's not the same"). Anyways, I notice they haven't sent the Sour Cream & Chive Dip I ordered either which costs a whopping 20p. Since I'm annoyed about the situation with Lysh having a whinge for a good 5 minutes, I go & report missing items from the order... Maccies have given me a £2.99 refund for the inconvenience π€·π»♂️π

Happy 11th Birthday my Charchar! It's crazy how fast time flies, clichΓ¨ but so true! Hard to believe how much you've grown and changed over the last few years. I miss my little boy who'd be sat on my shoulders everywhere we went, with that cheeky little smirk and that carefree laughter. You're growing up into being a teenager now, ready for high school, and I'd be lying to say I don't wish we could rewind time & have you back to a kid all over again. You have your own friends now, and your own hobbies & interests. As you grow and it becomes less cool to hang around with your uncle, just know I'm always here and always love you ❤️ and I miss the younger you so much but always look back fondly on your childhood for reminding me what it's like to be a kid all over again ❤️ love you all the world little guy, have a great day love from me & Ilysha xxxxxxx
