I think some of my closest American friends views are the most realistic about Biden being announced as President; there was no Blue wave. Trump still had enormous support. The instability and political conflict in America will not be suddenly resolved because of the outcome of an election. It's going to be a long time before the US can heal and unite.

people make assumptions based on what they see. they assume the type of person you are, where your priorities lie, and who your loyalties lie with. all you can do is focus on being the best version of yourself. if you can go to sleep at night knowing you try your best to be a good person to everyone, that is all the world can expect of you. your power doesn't reside in the public eye, it resides in what you do behind closed doors.

COVID VACCINE: Let's examine the study data real quickly. 43,500 participants. Half got the placebo, half got the vaccine. 94 cases overall; 90% of which were in the placebo group. So is it just me, or does that mean only 85/21,750 participants who got the placebo contracted Covid in the study? Meaning 99.997% of unvaccinated participants still DIDN'T catch Covid? Surely the takeaway from this is that even without the vaccine only 94/43,500 people caught Covid during the study? So 99.998% of people didn't catch it regardless of whether they had the placebo, or the vaccine? Extrapolating the placebo data against the population of the UK which is 67,886,011, even without a vaccine, statistically only 203,658 people are susceptible? What? Why are we in another lockdown, hiding and waiting for a vaccine??

Today's random thought. Is it really so bizarre that kids believe in ghosts, zombies, vampires and boogeymen under their beds? We encourage them to believe Santa comes down the chimney each year, the Tooth Fairy pops in to collect their teeth, and the Easter Bunny brings them chocolate eggs.
