After finding out Lysh won't be coming see me on my birthday, I already know it's just gonna be shit this year! 😒 tried to make plans for Rage and Longrest but Terry isn't available for Saturday night and is also working late on my birthday so can't make plans for either of those... suggested Sunday, but then Moz says he's flued up and isn't sure he will be able to make it... so as it stands I will have no cards, presents, or plans to celebrate my 36th birthday on the day! Not depressing at all...! 😞

The day improved despite only receiving 6 cards and 2 presents, not getting to see Lysh in person, having to send Marie another £20 since Lysh isn't doing swimming this year at school, and feeling wholly underwhelmed by another year where my birthday was spent largely questioning my self-worth because so few people make any effort to suggest I have any value or that I am worthy of love 😕 I did at least get to go out for some food with T & Stace at Frankie and Benny's and then for a drink after at Mitchell's up Castle (though it was an absolute dive of a venue 😐😅) so that was something at least 💁‍♂️

Been to watch 'The Ocean at the End of the Lane' on it's opening show at the Regent Theatre, and it was incredible 👏🏼😍🎭 only downside was the Milo Yiannapolous doppleganger 3-seats away who laughed obnoxiously every time anything mildly amusing happened 🙃

Google have broken YouTube with this stupid fucking "Adblock violation of TOS" nonsense. I have Adblock paused on YouTube, and still, every damn time I try to watch anything on YouTube it takes 10+ attempts before it will realise I am not blocking Ads. I'm literally on Rumble instead right now, because I am so fucking over it.

Binged 6 episodes of Heartstopper S2 today and I'm really enjoying it. However, that being said, the over-representation of queer makes the show feel inauthentic imho. I cannot buy into the suggestion that a friendship group in this single school has every possible variation of diversity... it feels like a box-ticking exercise in inclusivity. Gender, sexuality, race... pretty much every single queer demographic has been shoe-horned in for the sake of representation. Every single character is a complicated unique combination of LGBTQIA+, unless they are the CIS ally or an ignorant bigoted bully. Even the two male teachers who host the Paris trip turn out to be gay (and hook up, because of course they happen to fancy each other...) 🤨

Dreams are fucking weird, man 😵 Walking back from Hanley with Fosej and getting separated and too far ahead because he's dawdling with his missus. I get a phone call asking where I have gone because he can't see me, but then he tells me he's ahead of me somehow which makes no sense? I get to the top of Smallthorne near Felton's old house where the bus-stop is, and there is a sort of cage with metal grills. I glance in through the cage randomly, and there is a bloke in there on all fours wearing a balaclava. He starts talking to me, but I don't recall what about. He ultimately takes the balaclava off, and it's Aaron Lee. He comes out the cage and stands beside it chatting to me. I start to leave, and suddenly Pete Carney is there, asking if I'm heading the same way he is. I tell him no, and he walks off down Smallthorne Bank. Then I wake up in my bed, unaware of how I got there. It's a bunk-bed, like I had when I was a kid, and I realise I am at my Dad's house in my old bedroom. I recall panicking that I've lost my wallet. Then Terry comes in with an A4 pad of lined paper, and a section at the bottom has thick black marker lines scored across; he tilts it in the light showing me that the marker is covering up writing that can still be just about made out; it's by Moz my stepbrother. The writing is an apologetic confession referring to grooming a 4-year old. Me and Terry rush into Moz's room which is the box-room at my Dads, but he's not there. Terry picks up a rucksack and is panicking because apparently it was previously full of semtex that Moz must have taken with him wherever he has gone. Next I'm randomly in a huge foyer/lobby of a building; there are a lot of people in business suits, and I can see Ross Bath milling in the crowd. I see him exit through a set of double doors and follow him. As I proceed down the stairwell after Ross, I find that all the doors therein are locked, and he is nowhere to be found. The corrider ends with a fire-door that is locked from the inside. Suddenly I'm arriving at the top floor of a stairwell instead; I have a receipt that says I'm staying for 7 nights and it's only costing a ridiculously cheap amount, like £28 or something. The stairwell is like one of those types like a fire escape, with one door on each floor. I am on the top floor, but there is no railing and as I walk toward the door, I slip off the landing. I am wearing a huge rucksack, presumably in lieu of a suitcase, and it prevents me from tumbling to my death down the centre of the stairwell. I am hanging precariously down the gap, and really have to fight to recover my footing and get back up onto the floor. I recall a real sense of dread, but also a real determination to survive. I look back down the stairwell, and the lower floors all look as if they are made of cardboard, or cheap MDF, and the whole place is falling apart. Probably why it only costs £28 for 7-nights. Then I woke up. Wtf.
