I guess when it comes down to it, I'm just very risk averse. Pair that with being a logical thinker who is very analytical and it's a deadly combination for astute awareness of what is statistically the favourable option. And for me, that is definitely not "getting vaccinated for Covid-19".
I truly believe that most people against mandatory vaccination, and those choosing not to have the Covid vaccine are not worried about microchips, or dumb conspiracy theories. They are worried that there has not been sufficient testing, and that the medium to long term effects of the vaccine are unknown. Not all adverse effects are immediate, and even some of the already identified adverse effects are concerning such as strokes, blindness, deafness or even death.
Will that deter the herd from mockingly chiding about 5G and Bill Gates, or about people exercising their fundamental God given right to bodily autonomy as being "selfish" or "covidiots"? No, of course not... especially since they're being openly encouraged by mainstream media, the Government and their peers to continue goading the "non-conformists" among us.
Imagine you get pressured into having a vaccine by media, Government and peers, so you dutifully go and get yours despite being low risk for Covid-19, collect your free slice of pizza or whatever other dumb incentive they're offering (there are many!), and then virtue signal on social media proudly with your condescending statuses and your pretty profile picture frame.
Then in a few years from now, it transpires that the vaccine causes long term issues like Thalidomide did, or even the contraceptive drug, Primodos. Would you still feel smug and sneer with contempt at those who chose not to have the vaccine? Those who exercised their right to choose? Would your virtue signalling still provide the same moral high ground you misguidedly believe it does presently?
I remember when "my body, my choice" was championed in relation to abortions, so why is the same sentiment not shared when it comes to experimental vaccines that are still in trials?
Make no mistake here, the lack of testing that has gone into these vaccines is apparent using basic powers of deduction. Check any source, and you will read that vaccine development from design to approval typically takes between 5 and 15 years. The exploratory stage often takes 2-4yrs before pre-clinical trials, which then take another 1-2yrs. That's 3-6yrs before Phase I Trials even begin. Then there is Phase II Trials and Phase III Trials before the vaccine can be approved. Once it's approved, it enters Phase IV Trials where it's continued to be monitored for anything the manufacturers missed during the previous trials.
Let's take the Pfizer vaccine for an example; they began the design process in January 2020. By April 2020 they were already injecting it into humans. That is 3 months compared to the typical 3-6yrs. Within less than a year, it was in Phase IV and being injected en masse.
Take a moment to ask yourself why it usually takes 5-15yrs to approve. Is it because adverse reactions are not always immediate, and aren't always detected in the small number of test subjects involved in the trials perhaps? That was rhetorical. The answer is yes.
The most common counterargument is that there has been more funding and attention given to the Covid-19 vaccines because of it's necessity and urgency; I ask simply, does extra funding and attention also expedite the side effects/adverse reactions in the human body to manifest faster also? Again, that is rhetorical. It doesn't. If a byproduct of the chemical cocktail being injected causes birth defects, throwing money at it won't make those birth defects any more apparent in the short term. If it causes sterilisation, that won't be readily clear within 6 months of trials. If the adverse effect is something worse, perhaps similar to the cancer caused by the SV40 Polio vaccine which took decades to fully become apparent, would "more attention from scientists" make the cancer suddenly appear within a few months of trials? No, of course not.
Yet these obvious red flags seem to fall short of hitting the radar of people who are rushing to have this new snake oil vaccine injected into them. Is it the societal approval and validation they crave? The false sense of patriotism that they're "doing their part" to protect others? Or is it simply willful ignorance and cognitive dissonance? It matters very little. The end result will be the same regardless.
I can only pray for humanities sake that these vaccines are indeed as safe as the media and Government tout relentlessly; nothing would make me happier than being labelled any number of derogatory slurs for being overly risk averse if it means that everybody who has taken the vaccines avoids serious harm.
Alas, the adverse reactions have already began taking lives, and permanently disabling some recipients; for some people, the life saving vaccine is literally akin to a lethal injection.
